Disappointed
Started putting together and the pieces are not the correct size so they cannot be made flush. Upon reading these reviews to see if anyone had similar issues, I read many saying that this did not hold up outside. KidKraft responded that it is for indoor use…but it says out floor in the name and shows outdoor in the picture. I will be requesting my money back.

Very poor quality.
I bought it as an outdoor playhouse for my Montessori School in Ireland.
It was very difficult to assemble. The materials are very flimsy. It is not suitable for outside use as the screws, many of which were too short, were not galvanised.

Really cute playhouse
My daughter and her husband got this for my granddaughters birthday. It was damaged in a few places. She emailed customer service and we received the new parts within a week or two. The wood is not quality wood but the main issue is it’s not painted. It has a light primer on it. I got white outdoor paint that was a primer and a paint and painted the outside and the inside. I also stained the roof and the picnic table and grill. I did numerous coats. We live where the sun will warp the wood quickly. I also set the playhouse on top of bricks so it will not sit in water. I removed the sink and shelve and cut the sink off. I used wood to make corner shelves. I assembled a small kitchen which included a sink, microwave, refrigerator and stove. I made home made curtains and aprons. I also made planters and painted them white. I made shutters and stained them to match table. Added some house #’s and solar lights plus a welcome mat. My granddaughter picked out the material for the curtains and she chose welcome mat to match. If you add the primer and paint it will be worth it!
I wish the house was 2 feet bigger and that the door allowed an adult to go in and out without crouching down. My granddaughters love it. It’s been a project but it was fun and we can’t wait to decorate for the holidays!

We were so excited to purchase and assemble this playhouse for our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter. My husband is very handy and often assembles products and yet it took him about 4 hours to assemble the house. The picnic table top arrived damaged and he had to make repairs to it for it to be usable. Several pieces of the wood were in very poor condition, including the inside of the door and the mailbox. Overall the quality of the wood was not what we had expected it would be . On the plus side, the design is great and our granddaughter likes to play in it.

poor quality doesn't last
I am so sad about this product. It was out of stock for a long time and i jumped on it as soon as it came available. When we first got it the paint job wasn't great and there was split wood but what do you do when it takes like 7 hours to put it together? so we kept it and the kids loved it and have had countless hours of fun but the wood is warped the paint is coming off it looks terrible and like we have had it for forever! I just really expected a much higher quality product for the money and expected it to last for years to come. That is not the case.. and I am so sad about it. It is a cute house just really poor quality.

Overpriced for the quality
It’s cute but most of the wood is warped or damaged. Lots of chipped wood and areas where kids could get splinters. Roof is warped. It takes a long time to put together and is definitely not sanded or painted very well (very raw looking). I’d return it for a new one but then we’d have to take this one apart and put the new one together all over again. I think they know what a pain that is so they don’t care about sending out damaged materials knowing that people won’t be able to do much about it. Kind of sad about it for the price but here we are.

Noxious smell, defective parts
This was a gift and my kids were so excited to get it. Alas, in merely unpacking all the pieces, the smell was so noxious that I came close to vomiting. I haven’t even started to assemble it yet and I’m worried about my kids getting near it. Multiple pieces have warped paint and cracks, too. Adding further confusion and frustration - although all of the parts are numbered, certain numbers are inexplicably skipped (both from the parts themselves and the list of parts in the instructions. Where is #16?!
