What is the depth of each sling shelf? In other words, how tall would a book need to be in order to be visible when placed on the shelf?

The pockets are 10.5" deep. The total weight limit for the bookshelf is 30 lbs. with the bottom 2 slings holding 10 lbs. each and the top ones holding 5 lbs. each. The heavier books should be placed on the bottom. -The KidKraft Customer Care Team #14005
