Unplayable, do not buy!
Don’t waste your money on this so called guitar. They even say that your child can “emulate” not play. There are dozens of low cost ukuleles from soprano size to baritone that are very playable. The worst thing to do is get an instrument that is unplayable and will actually discourage child development in music.

Will buy again 100%
My daughter received this as a gift from her great grandmother two Christmas' ago. It just recently broke and she is quite heartbroken, so we are looking to get a new one. I think it has held up exceptionally well, but my daughter is very gentle with everything. It might be able to be glued back with wood glue, but I do not think it will last long. I also agree that these reviews are ridiculous. It is a kids guitar - it serves it purpose!

Great quality toy!
Well made little guitar. It’s vibrantly colored and very fun to plunk. Don’t expect to be able to tune it well, it is a toy after all.

Fun toy for a toddler, but not a real instrument.
This is a cute toy but the construction seems to be cheap. t's cute, and you can tune it to open G and let a toddler slap away at it, but don't expect for them to ever be able to use it to learn to play guitar. The guitar will not hold in tune for more than a few minutes, even after stretching the strings and giving it time to settle. The intonation of the frets is no where ever close to being functional. Getting the intonation to be functional would have been a massive upgrade by KidKraft. I wish I had just bought a soprano ukulele instead of this.

Great for toddlers
I think reviews are harsh here! Yes its impossible to tune accurately, but come on...its still just a kids toy, what do you expect?! My 1.5 year old received as a Christmas gift and we love it! It's way closer to a real guitar than others I've seen (fake buttons, lights, crazy colors, etc) so for a kid who enjoys real guitars (like she plays with at Grandpa's house) this makes a great gift!

Want your toddler to love music?
Our daughter loves music and has always loved playing her music teacher's guitar. So, it only made sense that she get her own over the holidays (21 months). This was an immediate hit! She likes to play it with a guitar pick and it is small and light enough that she can hold it while playing. The guitar is durable and the color is great because it keeps it gender neutral. The price is also reasonable, especially after comparing with other similar products. We haven't successfully tuned the guitar yet, but this doesn't seem to bother our 2 year old!

If a string breaks the toy is ruined.
I accidentally broke a string while attempting to tune one of these guitars that belongs to an acquaintance. Never mind that the guitar is impossible to tune, despite what it clearly states on this website, after contacting customer service, I found out that it's not possible to order new strings for this product. Bottom line, if a string breaks the toy is ruined. Ridiculous.
