Rated 2 out of 5 by from Frustrating and Falling Apart I bought this in August. We got it put together. For some reason the door on the playhouse keeps coming off. And somehow the slide ended up cracking underneath the protective ring. We saw the ring coming apart and then underneath was it completely cracked apart. Not to mention all the wood splitting. Not too thrilled with it at all. If we could return it we would. It also took six of us to be able to get the project done timely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous Purchase We have had this for several months. Our 3 year old can't get enough of it. High quality and a ton of fun for the little ones. Very happy with the product and glad we purchased it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 4-star review This thing is a beast, and takes more room than expected. I attempted to build it by myself, and was mostly successful. However, definitely would have been easier with some help with the tube slide a swing set.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 4-star review The circular slide was a little deformed but with some elbow grease, it came together nicely. Overall, excellent product. My son loves it!

Questions

I live in an area that gets very hot and I expect that the structure will get a lot of sun exposure. I plan to coat it with a spar urethane before assembly. Is there a coating already on the wood that would make this difficult?

Asked by: Jessica
Hi there, At the factory we have coated the wood with a water repellent or stain. This coating decreases the amount of water absorption during rain or snow thus decreasing the tension in the wood. Sunlight will break down the coating, applying a water repellent or stain on a yearly basis is important maintenance. (see your local stain and paint supplier for a recommended product) Thank you!-The KidKraft Customer Care Team

Tech specs indicate Chinese cedar wood? Is this different from other cedar wood playsets that simply say Cedar wood.

Asked by: Steve342
Hi Steve, KidKraft uses premium Cedar (Cunninghamia Lanceolata) lumber. Cunninghamia Lanceolata is naturally resistant to rot and insect infestation, minimizing damage caused by nature compared to other woods. Our wood is sanded and has eased edges (rounded) to prevent splintering. It is also kiln dried to ensure that it is properly dried to limit excess warping and cracking. The wood selected for use in our play sets is a higher grade wood than fence and deck lumber to ensure the quality we expect from our products.Thank you!-The KidKraft Customer Care Team

Hello, Can you please advise how to fasten the WLB (wafer lag bolts)? There doesn't seem to be anything included in the kit that I am supposed to use to tighten these and there is no information on what type of bit or driver to use. Please advise. Thanks!

Can this play centre be built without the tube slide? In our current property the tube slide would make the play centre to big however we may be moving in the next year or so.

Asked by: Cassie
Hi there, The play set was designed and safety tested to be assembled as shown. Any modifications made to the original product could damage the structural integrity of the unit leading to failure and possible injury. Thank you!-The KidKraft Customer Care Team
