In January, KidKraft was pleased to welcome a very special visitor to our Dallas headquarters.
Six-year-old Brooke Neitzel made headlines when she accidentally ordered our Sparkle Mansion Dollhouse via her family’s Amazon Echo. Her parents were unaware of the purchase until the order was already processed and the dollhouse was on its way – along with a four-pound tin of butter cookies!
Brooke already had a dollhouse, and had no need for another one. But instead of returning Sparkle Mansion, her parents decided to turn the mistake into a teachable moment, and donate the dollhouse to nearby Medical City Children’s Hospital.
We here at KidKraft love heartwarming stories like this, so we decided to honor the Neitzels’ generosity by matching their donation to three more local charities. We wanted to meet this inspiring family, so we also invited them to tour our Dallas office and meet some of our hard-working staff.
We walked the Neitzels through the entire production process – from concepting and prototyping, to marketing and distribution. We sent Brooke home with a few new gifts, and she left us feeling inspired and fulfilled by the work we do here at KidKraft.
