Not the best
Wood was bowed and split. Some screws were also missing. And set is lop sided. Only rated 2 stars instead of 1 because I was about to assemble it.

Horrible, Very Disappointed
I purchased this for my children. We assembled it on Mother's Day weekend 2020. By 6/7/20, the bolts are pulling through the wood. When the kids swing, you can see the main beams across the top flexing.
One of the bolts on a brace for the clubhouse portion broke off and came out.
The wood is SO soft that everything is just coming apart. My kids are 55, 60, and 75lbs.
Needless to say, I'm very disappointed.

Good for price.
Just bought and was delivered to store 4 days early, picked it up started on it the next afternoon, it says 4-8 hours with 2 people, I had it up and kids playing on it in about 5 by myself with little help holding something here or there (by the children). It did take a few minutes to start understanding instructions but once you do things fly. Some parts were slightly damaged and the floor boards for the upper deck didn't fit had to recut the corners on outside boards and trim them all for the rock wall supports to fit. But all in all fun project and the kids love it.

Great swingset.
Perfect size for the space I needed it. It took us (two people) about eight hours to build. There was only two occasions that the holes didn't match up and we had to drill our own. Overall, very pleased and have already recommended it to my friend who bought one.

Average quality & hard to build but fun to use
The Newport Playset delivers plenty of fun for the kids once it's built, but what a mission to get there! KidKraft estimates this is a 4-8h job for two people but it took us at least double that, and with patience aplenty.
Granted I came to this with little experience of building anything of this magnitude, but the instructions booklet was arcane, the labelling and packaging of hardware parts confusing and the labelling of wooden parts sometimes unintelligible due to being poorly printed on said parts.
Once you get into and understand the assembly instructions for lag screws and hex bolts with all their accompanying parts (lock washers, flat washers, t-nuts, etc) and correctly identify your wooden parts, you'll eventually hit your stride. At which point you'll realize that though the product is 100% FSC "premium cedar wood" it's still mass manufactured in China and hence of average quality: you'll find some wooden parts checked (i.e. surface cracks), others warped (i.e. distortion), and radically different shades on parts throughout.
A few more comments: the chalk wall is a tarp rather than a solid chalk board and barely fits its intended space, the café wall mesh is equally tiny and any child will punch its way through it in a second, the café wall canopy is rickety and the ground stakes that hold the structure down are structurally weak and will barely resist to solid hammering they need to be driven 11"/30cm into the ground.
All-in-all: average quality and very tough to assemble for newbie (or even intermediate) DIY enthusiasts, but great fun for the kids once you've gotten it up. Get some beers, some music and your tool belt ready and soldier on for the good cause of your children's joy!

Newport Wooden Playset
Four stars because some of the manufacturers pre-drilled holes didn’t line up how they were supposed to. Twice we had to drill our own holes, which is fine, just a hassle. There were also some steps in the instructions that felt like they should have been earlier than they were. Meaning the pieces didn’t fit exactly how they should because the other parts were already put together. Once again, fine, just a pain. But, honestly for what you get and the price, I would recommended this to anyone looking for an inexpensive playset! My two love it!
