I wish though it had some kind of cover as when it rains it gets soaked, if there's a cover that will fit it I would purchase it, because its a great sandbox.

The canopy is great and the little buckets and storage on the sides are awesome. The mesh cover does its job. Unfortunately the wood is already cracking in a couple places so I’m worried it won’t last long.

I was unable to put the sandbox together for over a week because I had to wait on the hardware. It was also very difficult to get through to customer service to take care of this. I even went online and followed instruction in the manual to order missing parts online, but the website wasn't working properly. When I finally got through to customer service, the woman who helped me was wonderful and did an excellent job. I got the hardware Fed-Ex to me within a week.

Can and should the wood be treated with a water sealer?

The sanmu wood used is treated with organic oils, such as flax seed oil, but it is not pre sealed. KidKraft recommends sealing the wood with an oil based sealant at the first sign of weathering.-The KidKraft Customer Care Team #14010

Bonjour, le bac à sable comprend un filet en maille pour couvrir le sable, ce qui permet d'empêcher les animaux d'entrer, mais il ne protège pas de la pluie. Merci ! KidKraft

Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for a cover for the sand? I know there is a mesh cover but it does not protect against rain or wind.

We have this sandbox and while I don't cover it during the summer months, I would suspect you could just pull a tarp over the sand and weight it down with a few rocks.

The canopy collected water over the summer and now has red stains on it. Can I bleach it or do something to get rid of the stains? Also, now that snow is starting to fall, I assume it's best to remove the canopy for winter?

I am unable to locate the batch code, item no or any number for that matter on the sandbox. The canopy is completely torn up and I need to replace it. Can I just order it?  It is the same one as the photo and should not be this difficult to replace.

The batch code should be located on the item- usually under the lid of the storage compartment. It can also be found on the bottom of the assembly instructions as well.-The KidKraft Customer Care Team #06001
