I installed the replacement table tops on 3/28/23. I went in to inspect them the next day in anticipation of the arrival of my grandsons and discovered the same problem was beginning with the replacement parts. The adhesive on the Lego base and thr table top was releasing. Experience has shown that this problem gets worse over time with the pulling on the blocks to remove them from the base. I called Kidcraft back and explained that the same issue was occurring on the replacement parts them had sent. They asked for pictures. I sent the pictures and then received an email back saying they were going to replace that part as well.

The representative contacted me and advised that they would be sending replacement table tops as a one time courtesy to rectify the issue. The parts arrived on March 28, 2023 and I installed them that evening

quality of workmanship is lacking in this item. I purchased one for my grandson and the fit and finish just weren't there. It did not open and close with ease and there was a gap in the center when closed. Also there was a chip on both pieces at the center joint as if they had been dropped on edge. To Kidkraft's credit, they replaced the item. The second one they sent me, the glue on the block base and substrate started to release within a year of being replaced. I tried to secure it with some heavy duty adhesive around the edges where I could reach, but the original adhesive continued to degrade. I finally pulled it all off and cleaned the substrate with goo-gone to remove all the old adhesive and called the company to inquire about the composition of the materials to ensure I could obtain a suitable adhesive to permanently correct the problem. The customer service representative procured my email address and indicated that he would contact me further upon consultations with his team.

Nice but make cheap
Love the table but the quality isn’t great. Can’t open and shut with ease. The sides don’t screw in well.

A good sturdy item, although there is a chip to one of the surfaces, luckily it is underneath & although it cost a fair bit I cannot be bothered to take it apart and send it back.
