The color we received for the sets are NOT what is displayed on the Kidkraft site. The color we received was a deep orange/maple color vs the natural color shown on your site. This color looks like something you would see in a library in the 60s. This is not even inviting for young children. Extremely disappointing knowing we purchased these thinking they were going to 2 different houses for Christmas. I have a Kidkraft table set in our home which is absolutely beautiful this is why I choose Kidkraft as our Christmas purchase. Extremely disappointed with our purchase.

I ordered this because the natural wood matched the other wood items in my granddaughters playroom. Not happy at all and this was one of her Christmas presents.

Can you clarify whether the table is made of solid birch wood or whether it is made of MDF and wood?  Customer Care has provided conflicting answers.  If made of MDF and wood, is the wood portion just a veneer?

What size is this table? And height of chair seats?

The table is about 2 feet wide and the seat is 11 inches high. The chairs are a nice size and sturdy.The 2 year old grandkids are comfortable on them and some adults in the family sit in them even though they exceed the weight limit.

 No my set smelled fine. Several years ago when I bought A different piece of furniture from a different manufacturer, numerous people who bought the same piece of furniture complained that it smelled like fish and could never get rid of the smell. Other people did not have that problem. So there must be something that furniture manufacturers do or use that occasionally causes that problem. I myself have never experienced it but plenty of other people have.
