Questions
How much weight can the bench seat?
Asked by: Viviana
I have bought two of these, one for each Grand nephew. The first I one bought in blue
4 years ago. The boy is now 5 years, and its made very sturdy he sits on top of it
and they put stuff on top of it extra toys etc. Pounds I'm not sure but he is now 5, not an overweight boy, just normal at that age (40-50-lbs) its made really, really well, thick wood, not thin. Like I said, I bought another one for his brother since I was so impressed with how well its made. The lid has a slow shutting hinge which was important to me for so small he wouldn't get his fingers pinched while getting a toy out. I would think you would not let a teenager sit on it or an adult but a small child would be fine. I hope this helps but this is a 10 out of 10 for me on quality and assembly.

Why is this recommended for 3 plus, but the fill with fun is 1 plus. What are the differences?
Asked by: Yu
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The correct age is 3 plus for both toyboxes. We will have this updated.-The KidKraft Customer Care Team #10001

Is this safe for 2 year olds? Some websites say it’s a choking hazard and shouldn’t be used with kids younger than 3:
Asked by: Amarie
I guess it depends on what you put inside the toy box. There’s no chocking hazard as far as the toy box itself. We’ve had this since day one with our kid and never had any issues. :)

On average how long before the odor of the paint or wood goes away? It was giving me such a headache last night. If not raining I will put back outside.
Asked by: Hbombwrox
Hi there, We are are sorry your toy box came with a smell. The smell should dissipate withing a few days when being aired outside allowing air to completely circulate around the item. If this does not go away, please contact customerservice@kidkraft.com with more information. Thank you!-The KidKraft Customer Care Team
